Multi-Multi Texas Style
George DeMontrond III NR5M, whose multi-multi contest station near
Hempstead has become an upper echelon finisher in virtually every major
contest, is truly world class, featuring arrays of antennas (how about
80 meter yagis?!) and top-of-the-line radios and automation at every
operating position. NR5M has attracted some of the world's top contest
operators, and is a force in just about every contest, from DC to light.
The NR5M "experience" is not only about competitive contesting but
Texas hospitality, home-cooked chow, and creature comforts. Come see
how this Texas radio gem has been grown from the ground up.

DXing from 41,000 feet
Our second speaker will be Rick Dougherty NQ4I, whose Georgia multi-multi
contest station is another constant top-tier finisher. Rick, a business
jet charter pilot for NetJets, flies celebrities and high profile
executives all over the world, providing him not only with opportunities
to get in some high-flying DXing using the aircraft's HF SSB rig, but
also a chance to visit DXers and contesters in exotic places. In his
program, Rich will present an entertaining slide show of some of his
travels and visits.
CW and Phone Pileup Competitions
CTDXCC will also host the Annual Summerfest Pileup Competitions on Friday
night, featuring NO5W's fantastic MorseRace real time scoring and display
software. This was a huge hit at Dayton Hamvention this year, and turns
CW pileup competition into a spectator sport. Dust off your Morse Runner
program and get ready to play. The stakes are high. We are honored to
have as our grand prize a beautiful magnetic iambic paddle donated by
Begali of Italy for the winner of the Pileup Competition.
Fabulous Prizes!
Other vendors have been extremely generous in donating door prizes to
the CTDXCC Summerfest Forum on Saturday. Major prizes include a
Flex
Radio FLEX-1500 HF transceiver, antennas from
Force 12 and
Tennadyne, and a
RigExpert Antenna Analyzer from
Array Solutions.
You must be present to win!
