Where is Silver City ?

Silver City, New Mexico, is located in the southwest corner of New Mexico.  It is approximately 50 miles east of the Arizona-New Mexico border, and approximately 70 miles north the of the New Mexico-(Old) Mexico border.  The nearest Home Depot and other typical suburban conveniences is approximately 90 miles east-south-east, in Las Cruces, New Mexico (however, Silver City does have a Super-Walmart, an Albertsons, a large number of smaller stores and restaurants, and most of the usual fast food joints).  The nearest commercial airport is in El Paso, Texas, about a 3 hour drive.  Other larger cities in the vicinity are Albuquerque (about 4 hours away), Tuscon (about 5 hours away), and Phoenix (about 6 hours away).
