The Central Texas DX and Contest Club (CTDXCC) is a group of amateur radio operators in the Central Texas area with a special interest in amateur radio DXing and radiosport contesting.

Most of the membership is from the Travis, Williamson, and Hays counties of central Texas, with most club members living near Austin, Texas. We always welcome visitors and new members!

The antenna field at the Burnet County station of club member Fred Pevoto K5FP features a three-element SteppIR, another three-element tribander, and a four square on 40 meters.
News
-   Check out the claimed scores of CTDXCC members in the recent ARRL International DX Contest, Phone the ARRL International DX Contest, CW and the ARRL RTTY Roundup.
-   Two CTDXCC members have been selected as official referees for the World Radiosport Team Championship 2010, to be held July 10-11 in Moscow, Russia. Richard King K5NA and Gary Schmidt W5ZL will help ensure the high level of integrity at the competition by each observing one team in operation for the entire 24 hours.
-   The CTDXCC congratulates member Marv Bloomquist N5AW on his selection to a team at the World Radiosport Team Championship 2010, to be held July 10-11 in Moscow, Russia. Marv and teammate Terry Zivney N4TZ will be one 10 teams representing the USA in one of the top radio competitions in the world.
 
Events
-   The weekend of March 20-21 is the Russian DX Contest. Brush up on your knowledge of Russian oblasts and join the fun on phone or CW or both.
-   Saturday, April 17 is the Belton Ham Expo at the Bell County Expo Center (IH-35 exit 292). The event starts at 7:00 AM and admission is now $5/person.
-   The next CTDXCC club meeting is 6:30 PM, Monday, 22 March 2010, at the Old Quarry Branch Library, 7051 Village Center Dr., Austin, TX. The meeting topic will be a presentation of the FT5XO Kerguelen 2005 DXpedition video. Many club members get together for pre-meeting Tex-Mex dinner around the corner from the library at El Arroyo at 5:15 PM. Visitors are welcome!
