The monthly CTDXCC social gathering came off without a hitch, as usual. The crowd was a little sparse, but we had at least one new attendee, WO5T, who fit right in. The food was even better than usual and the price was right. I keep saying that it’s too bad if you missed it, but there is always next month, on April 30th, the last Tuesday of each month.
Today’s topics included but were not limited to horned toads, the Hyperstar System, post office, Iowa, Boys Town (yes, that one), Isaac Spiegel, pirate operations, 12' diameter drill bits, waterlilies, Bob Heil, Marfa jackrabbits, the dump, Bush 43, Hughes Tool company, chairs, Suburbans, Joe Walsh, illegal immigrants, plasma balls, DXing destinations, the Dr. Pepper Museum, 10 meter propagation, dishes, skin cancer, dark skies, Collins Radio, Don Miller, ARRL Honor Roll, vertical antennas, getting lost, SOTA, POTA, VOTA, photography, CW, FT8, contesting, Dayton, Montserrat, pistols at dawn, concrete projectiles, the MacDonald Observatory and at least two topics which are not suitable to put in print (though we all got a big laugh out of those)!
Next time, April 30, Los Reyas, Austin. You can bring your own topics or use those provided by others.
Respectfully submitted,
Madison W5MJ
Cheerleader
