Hi  Bill,
 
I am requesting your help for this month's CAWG newsletter. I am contacting
growers from around the state for a story  on how the vines are doing this
year with all of the challenges-freeze, heat, water shortages, wind, etc.,
so I need some of your comments to be sure your region is included in the
wrapup.
 
Some possible things to discuss:
 
*  What affect has this year's weather had on crop development?
 
* Is the crop ahead, behind normal? How does it compare to last year?
 
* Have you had to do anything differently this year?
 
* Any pest, disease problems?
 
* How are growers in your region dealing with water shortage?
 
* How about a guess on crop quality and/or yields?
 
* Any varieties in better shape/worse shape than others?
 
* What are the hot varieties in your region? 
 
* Any new plantings or vineyard removals?
 
Any other thoughts would be appreciated as well. Please respond by e-mail if
