VASCM: Amateur Wine Competition, Sta Cruz County Fair, Due

Entries for the Amateur Wine Competition at the Santa Cruz County Fair 
are due August 4 at the fairgrounds in Watsonville.  All amateur 
winemakers are encouraged to participate!  

The Fair is held Sept. 11-16, and winners of the amateur wine 
competition are announced at a public tasting on Sept. 8.  It is quite 
an enjoyable event!

Entry Forms and more information can be found on the Fair website at 
http://www.santacruzcountyfair.com/ . You will find the Entry Form for 
the amateur competition under 'Entry Guide' on the homepage.  

The VASCM has devoted a couple of pages on our web server to the amateur 
competition at  http://www.vascm.org/amateur.htm .  You can find 
information (including photos) on last year's competition there now, and 
we will soon post information on this year's competition, including the 
Entry Form.

I will also have extra Entry Forms at our meeting on Wednesday.
