Dave:
If points are so important, maybe there should be a national clearing house
for all points' records, then the Division would not have to maintain
records and all points would be awarded based on the same criteria, in case
each Division calculates points results differently. Here; Here for
standardization.

And lastly, why is Fleet 62 the only fleet having problems with this??? I
haven't heard any other fleets complaining about the new rules or having any
difficulty adhering to the new rules.
Just an FYI - all of Division 2 is having a terrible time complying with the
rules. At least half of our points regattas were run by yacht clubs, and now
they're all non-HCA. Next year we will only have 5 HCA sanctioned events, 2
of which are ten hours away. That means that it's going to be very hard for
Division 2 sailors to do well in the HCA points system without travelling
outside the division. Sure, it's a bummer, but for a few years we didn't
even track division points, so I guess it's better than nothing. I'm just
going sailing!
I'll be at Huntington, but I can't remember which regatta's which - I'm
going to the warm one!
