(Well, it's normally 20-below zero this time of the year, but we're looking at 40 degree temperatures up here this weekend. That's shorts & sweat shirt WX to us!) There are 41 fixed stations signed up to activate their counties and many others will participate in the 2012 MnQP again this year. All 87 counties are accounted for. Last minute adjustments have been made to schedules and you can download PDF files to help you work toward a sweep. Grab you copy of version 2.0.6 from here: *http://tinyurl.com/7zf9txu* Tomorrow morning at *8:00 am CST *Minnesota will be on the air! Track the mobiles current position at anytime, using APRS too. http://w0aa.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=8&Itemid=7 It has been reported that a last minute vehicle change was necessary by the *N?IJ & NX?X* team after discovering problems with the drive train. Apparently a few critical parts were not located in time for the MnQP this year. Download your copy from here: *http://tinyurl.com/6s59crl* These are workbooks created in Excel 2003 and feature the "One Click" log import feature. QP - MN Log Analyzer will import any MnQP Cabrillo file (everyone uses this one) QP - MN Mobile Analyzer is for Minnesota mobile operators exclusively Please report any problems you encounter to me. *NOTE:* I have received reports that some new Log Analyzers create errors when using Excel 2000. This is most likely caused by the new import routine which uses VBA coding which is not supported in older Excel products. You can continue to use the old "Cut & Paste" method to import your log and the workbook will function normally. Last year I created these same tools for the Florida QSO Party and I plan to update them with the new features this fall. The current FL Log Analyzers are still available at the same website listed above. 73 de Bob - K?RC in MN k0rc at arrl.net From chris.plumblee at gmail.com Mon Feb 27 07:05:39 2012 From: chris.plumblee at gmail.com (Chris Plumblee) Date: Mon, 27 Feb 2012 10:05:39 -0500 Subject: [FQP] Announcing a Special Anniversary during the 2012 FQP! Message-ID: All - If you were at any of the FCG events in Orlando you already may have heard that this year's FQP is the 15th under the FCG's management. Coincidentally, "Florida QSO Party" has 15 letters. To celebrate the anniversary and such a happy coincidence, during FQP 2012 you will find 15 1x1 stations on the air from around Florida. All will be fixed stations and all have committed to have significant presences on both phone and CW. We will be awarding special certificates to all stations who work the 15 1x1s mixed mode, on phone only, and on CW only. So, if you hear a familiar voice or fist signing a strange call during FQP, give them a shout, and if you have any questions about the 15th Anniversary FQP Special Event, just send me an email. 73, Chris WF3C -- Chris Plumblee 407.494.5155 From wo4o at home-sweet-loans.com Tue Feb 28 20:11:03 2012 From: wo4o at home-sweet-loans.com (wo4o) Date: Tue, 28 Feb 2012 22:11:03 -0600 Subject: [FQP] Tnx FQP de wo4o Message-ID: <00bf01ccf698$5ff8bb20$1fea3160$@com> Thanks for the beautiful certificate for 1st place, Multi-Single, CW Only in the 2011 FQP. I was really busy tailgating and could not get away. I was wondering if I repeated my 2010 2nd place finish in the Low Power Mobile, SSB only, No driver class, for the 2011 FQP ?? If so, could my certificate possibly be mailed to me? My address info is correct on QRZ.com TNX for a really fine and fun event. I look forward to doing it again this year. de Lee.
