In my past mobile efforts, 20 was the only useable band. Assuming that 15 is open, will there be enough activity on that band to justify spending time there and having an antenna for it? 73, Hal W1NN ----- Original Message ----- From: To: ; Sent: Thursday, April 01, 2010 8:15 AM Subject: [FQP] FQP and 10M > Anyone have any thoughts on whether 10 meters will be useful from mobile > operation for this years FQP? > I have separate antennas for each band and would have to add another for > 10M. > Thanks > 73 > Jack K1KNQ > _______________________________________________ > FQP mailing list > Send mail to - FQP at kkn.net > Change/edit subscription info - http://www.kkn.net/mailman/listinfo/fqp > FQP Web site - www.floridaqsoparty.org or www.flqp.org From wd4ahz at gte.net Wed Mar 31 17:58:40 2010 From: wd4ahz at gte.net (Ron Wetjen) Date: Wed, 31 Mar 2010 20:58:40 -0400 Subject: [FQP] FQP and 10M In-Reply-To: <0E3CAF5234B74E85A8683F0A09BE9FCD@HalLaptop> References: <4ab26.1ac0553d.38e531a9@aol.com> <0E3CAF5234B74E85A8683F0A09BE9FCD@HalLaptop> Message-ID: <4BB3EFC0.6080602@gte.net> On 3/31/2010 7:51 PM, Hal Offutt wrote: > I was wondering the same thing about 15 meters. The first or second running of the "new" FQP, we used 10 and 15 M while mobile - since the bands were open then. If you can add a 15 M antenna, I suppose it couldn't hurt having it ... just in case. I'll be operating from home, so if 15 and/or 10 is open, I'll be there. Ron, WD4AHZ
