It looks like I found the correct wire last night
so now all three of my transverters are switching 
just fine.

What I did was use a small relay to break the power to 
the receive section of the transverter. 

I then brought the control for this relay out to an 
RCA connector on the transverter.  Shorting the 
RCA to ground switches the receiver on.  My IF switch 
has a relay contact that does this - but it is a 
simple matter to plug a shorted RCA plug into
the transverter to make the reciver stay on full time.

One other thing I did (this has been on my to do list for years) 
was stop using RCA connectors for the 12 volt power connector.
I removed the TX BNC from each of my transverters and used
that hole to run my power into the transverters.  So now I 
have a 6" wire coming out to a small molex type two pin
connector.  I used the old 12 volt in RCA jack for my RX 
switching control.
