[DEMI] 2304-144 IF (and LO) cables

I just finished building my 2304-144 1W kit.  everything is checking out
fine I am just hooking up the IF radio now (ft290rII) to set the RX/TX
levels.  How important is the placement of the 144 IF cable and the LO
cable?  My LO coax flops around touching the transverter board when I
close the two halves of the case.  In the instructions it states that
the performance can be degraded by the cables touching the filters and
other components... should I affix them somehow (glue?) to the ground
plane?  Does it really matter?  any suggestions helpful -
