This file contains some LUA Scripts that work only with the Yaesu FT-1000MP or
FT-1000D, and FT-990.  They require Win-Test 4.2 or later.

Quick Installation:

  To quickly install the scripts with default key assignments shown below:

     1. Extract all files to the Win-Test Scripts directory (to view this folder,
        select File | Explore | /scripts directory from the Win-Test menu).

        Note:  you must run WinZip as an Administrator, or extract the files while
        signed on as an Adminstrator, otherwise Windows Vista and later may locate
        the extracted files in a "Virtual Store" folder that Win-Test does not use.

        Win-Test must be marked "Run as an Administrator".

     2. Type SCRIPTS [Enter] in the Win-Test logging window

     3. Click once to select Install_FT1000

     4. Click the [Run] button

     5. Wait a few moments for a pop-up message box "Install_FT1000 completed
        successfully"

     6. Click OK

Quick Un-Installation:

  To automatically remove all the key assignments (while preserving all the scripts):

     1. Type UNINST [Enter] in the Win-Test logging window

        -or-

     1. Type SCRIPTS [Enter] in the Win-Test logging window
     2. Highlight Uninstall_FT1000
     3. Click [Run]

The default keys listed below are set by the install scripts.  You may change them
manually later.

  SO2V_SUB.wts - Toggle Dual Watch (SubRx) ON and OFF                 Back quote [`] key

Note:  To enter SPLIT mode, use the [ - ] (minus) key in Win-Test, enter a split freq.
(only the last 3 digits is sufficient, e.g., for 7190, enter [ - ] 190 [Enter] .

Use [ - ] [Enter] to exit SPLIT mode (no frequency).

Manual Installation:

  Place all script files in the {Appdata}\Scripts directory:

  Windows XP:
    "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Win-Test\scripts\"

  Windows Vista and Windows 7:
    C:\ProgramData\Win-Test\scripts\

  By default, these folders may be hidden.  You can view the scripts folder via the 
  Win-Test menu:
    File | Explore | /scripts directory...

  To unhide all folders on Windows XP:
    1. Double Click the My Computer icon
    2. Click Tools | Folder Options
    3. Click the "View" tab
    4. Under "Advanced settings" 
         Hidden files and folders
           Show hidden files and folders (click to activate)
    5. Click the [Apply] button then [OK]

  To unhide all folders on Windows Vista, and later:
    1. Start, Control Panel
    2. Classic View:  Double click on the Folder Options icon and go to step 3 above
       -or-
       Home View:  Click on the Appearance and Personalization Link, then click
       "Show Hidden Files or Folders" and go to step 4 above

Installing scripts manually (run Install_FT1000first, then change individual
default key assignments to match your preference):

  To assign a script to a function key manually:

  1. In Win-Test select  Tools | Scripts manager
  2. Select the script (single-click)
  3. Click [Properties]
  4. Click [Define...]
  5. Press the function key you wish to assign
  6. Leave the "Argument" box blank.
  7. Press [OK]

  To unassign a script from a function key, repeat steps 1-3.
  4. Press [Delete]
  5. Press [OK]

  To invoke a script from a CW or RTTY message, use the script name with a # as prefix, e.g.

  1. In Win-test, type MSGS in the callsign field and press [Enter]
  2. Program the message, e.g.
     [F1]:    CQ $MYCALL $MYCALL #CLEARRIT
     [Plus]:  $CORRECT TU $MYCALL $CR #CLEARRIT
  3. For phone, use TX and RX in Advanced SO2R Scenarios for software PTT, no need to use
     VOX:
     [F1]:    $RESET $R2R2 #TX $F1 #RX $R1R1
     [F2]:    #TX $F2 #RX
